Weather

In and out of the clouds for much of the day, though generally more cloudy than not. Occasional snow showers up to S1 in intensity. Winds were generally light. Hn and Hs measurements are from Berthoud Study Plot.

Snowpack

Today's new snow sits on top of a MFcr that overlay's last Friday's snow. This sits on top of a MFcr that is very stout on S'rly aspects, and becomes a bit weaker/thinner as you move around the compass to the east. See attached snow pit profile for details on an easterly aspect near treeline.

Avalanche

Several small (less than D1) dry loose avalanches were noted on the banks on the W side of Berthoud Pass. All stopped short of the highway. No other avalanche activity was observed.
