Snowpack
We heard and felt a large woomf in the snowpack at around 12,300 ft. on a Southwest facing aspect climbing up Mt. Machebuf just after 12:30 PM. There seemed to be a decent surface freeze the night before and the cloud cover and breeze kept things pretty firm on our ascent. We didn’t see or hear any other signs of instability before this. The surface was starting to go into a corn cycle, but was still fairly firm when we heard the woomf.
