Increasing clouds at the time, before most recent snowfall.

Snowpack

Performed multiple ski pole tests and hand pits. 15-20 inches of facets to the ground beneath 3-inch sun crust. A few inches of recent snow on top of that, more in drifted areas. Some localized cracking on faceted layer. Rollerballs evident on due west facing aspects. Surprised to see facets so prevalent and intact. No rounding or evidence of moisture. Persistent weak layer still there.
