Weather

Calm winds, warm temps, sun hoody, feels like spring. Started to cloud up around 2pm.

Snowpack

On the ATL south facing ski run we planned to ski we found a 3-5 inch pencil hard windslab on fist hard snow. The soft snow was on a 3 inch melt freeze crust that was almost impenetrable to my probe. We choose not to ski the line.

Avalanche

There were lots of crowns mostly in east and southeast facing terrain above treeline. The avalanches looked like they encompassed just the new storm snow. Near treeline there were multiple D.5-D1 Wind Slabs avalanches in steep easterly terrain.
