Weather
Although brief, the intermittent periods of sunshine made it feel very warm and stuffy. No blowing snow could be seen on even the highest ridgelines.
Snowpack
We targeted similar slopes as our last visit to the area. Sensitivity on the depth hoar has decreased since 4/4, hard propagating results with Extended Column tests and hard, sudden collapse with compression tests. The buried surface facets that were buried on 4/16 are showing decreasing sensitivity but easy to moderate propagating results. The early February storm dominates the mid-pack structure, resting on moist,4 to 1 finger depth hoar on southwest slopes. On the east facin-slope, the depth hoar remains mostly dry and although it doesnt pour out of the pit walls like earlier this month, it remains. fist to 4 finger
Avalanche
One Persistent Slab avalanche on an east aspect ran in the past week, unsure of exact date, prior to 4/16 storm though. Higher up on the same slope, two small storm slab avalanches likely ran on 4/17
