Mostly cloudy, snow showers in the afternoon

Snowpack

12 inches deep in most places, drifts up to 24 on leeward slopes, scoured down to trace on windward slopes at about 11,500'. Snowpack layers were as follows: thin, unsupportive windcrust on top of light windblown snow, sitting on top of small suncrust over facets. Windcrust was mostly supportive in non-protected areas, but small cracks formed with each steps up to about 2 feet out from each ski.
