A few snowflakes fell while I was in the field. S1 west of the Tunnel as I was driving home in the afternoon.

Snowpack

I traveled on southeast to east to northeast aspects below and near treeline. The average Hs was 60cm, but drifts as deep as a meter could be found. The snowpack structure is essentially the most recent storm snow over facets. On southeast aspects the basal facets are capped with a somewhat supportable melt-freeze crust. The storm snow had a bit of slabbiness to it in wind affected areas, but otherwise showed little cohesion.
