light snow with light/calm winds. 2-4cm's accumulation while we were out.
Snowpack
Toured into Big Basin in Hidden Valley. We toured in BTL and NTL zones and found a generally stable snowpack with light dry snow accumulating throughout the day. New snow was sloughing off of stiff windboard on isolated test slopes. There appears to be layers of healing faceted grains near the surface from previous high pressure cycles in our snowpit. This pit was dug in a sheltered location as opposed to more exposed wind affected areas. We did not find much reactivity in these layers, but in sheltered below treeline areas that have had little ski traffic, there is the possibility these are more present and possibly reactive.
