Overcast, cold, light west breeze, snowing S1 and increased to S2 by midday.

Observed many rolling collapses and shooting cracks. Probed much of our uptrack and found the height of snow roughly averaging 115cm. Dug a hasty pit on 31? slope directly adjacent to shooting crack. Compression Test failed on isolation on a layer of 3-5mm buried surface hoar sitting on top of a 20cm 1F slab "supported" by 50cm of facets.
