About 36" of snow on top of about 12" of faceted snow.
Avalanche
The avalanche broke on a layer of faceted snow about three feet below the snow surface. The avalanche crown was on a convex roll where the slope angle steepened. Party of two with one person partially buried with their head out of the snow. No injuries.
