Amazing turns on Vermillion slide path on Friday before the weekend crowds. 20cms new snow covered the old tracks pretty well. First part of the path below the peak offered us fresh tracks and below got a bit choppier but still good. Avalanche report on Friday suggested to manage sluff on steeper terrain. However, the slope was not very steep and sluff not heavy enough to travel very far. No signs of instability.

Snowpack test at 2439 m elevation. Failed at CTH26 regular column test. Some variability under new snow but seemed well bonded.
