Observed sluffing of recent storm snow in steep terrain. The sheltered east aspect had the best quality turns and deeper snow. South and exposed areas had thinner deposits of snow with a more Jan 30 crust beneath which made for worse turns. In some isolated areas a wind crust has started to form a bit of a wind skin. (Posted for Monday, February 2nd. Got stuck in the queue, my apologies.)

Started the day at -6°C at the car at 10am and cooled down to -12°C in the pulpits. Light southerly winds throughout the day, picking up slightly in the afternoon and knocking snow off trees on the skin out. Light snowfall (S-1) throughout the day with little accumulation on our skin track.
