Thin and touchy conditions in the alpine with a lot of snow blowing around and limited vis for the 12/26 and 12/27 when we were staying at Wendy Thomspon. Good skiing in the trees. Warm with roller balls and wet snow up to 1900m on 12/27.

We were skinning up the ridge above Honey Bronzed and Very Very Desirable when a cornice on the ridge collapsed (we were not very close to it) and triggered this slab on the slope below, which we had just skinned up. The crown was about 1m at it thickest point and slid on a firm rain crust down to the rocks at some points. Another cornice had fallen onto the slope sometime earlier (likely earlier in the day or the day before) and not triggered a slab.
