40cm HST on top of crust/facet combo. Storm snow quickly slabbed up over the day. Reactive on any suspect feature (convex rolls, planar steep open trees). Easily produced slides up to sz 1 on the crust, as we saw from testing several features. Had a series of “electric” whumps, could hear the snowpack settle a hundred meters or so from your skis. Dug two hasty pits to see if there was any particular crystal on top of crust, found a crust/ facet combo in both hasty digs. Chose conservative routes for the skin track up Cats, to avoid the moderate overhead.
