Snow changed to freezing rain for 30min mid day, causing a very breakable 1-3mm ice crust on everything, this was most evident in higher elevations and windward open area. Alpine winds were very strong in the AM, wind slabs were beginning to form but not reactive yet. Ice crust cut put a damper on the great conditions

Avalanche

East aspects seemed to be very sensitive to human triggering on unsupported or very steep features. Observed 3-4 skier triggered sz 1 on convex rolls (very easy to release), and larger size 2 in a gully feature caused by an unknow group (happened early Jan 31 or Jan 30, 5cm of snow had fallen on it before we observed it)
