Spicy conditions at Gorge 15km. 60cm of storm snow that was very reactive (m3),Dec 4 surface hoar now down 140cm. Hs is 300 cm. Many natural avalanches size 1.5-2 and observed a size 3 likely remote triggered by a group of sledders. These avalanches were observed on north, west and east aspects. Skied the south side with no signs of avalanches. Sorry for no pictures as I left my phone in the truck.

Went for a low tide ride today. Thankfully came out unscathed with the exception of losing my pole. We skied a line off queest proper. We were expecting some loose sloughing. It turned to be more of a slab. My partner skied first with no signs of avalanche. I followed once he was off the slope and managed to trigger a slab after my second turn. I ended up 80m down the slope where the avalanche pulled me, mostly on top of the snow and through some small trees. We both were skiing the line fast with the expectation of sloughing. Not a Consolidated slab. In retrospect it should have been more of a consideration.
