Weather
Tranquil weather with calm winds with light snow showers. Skies partly cleared in the afternoon. The storm left 20-25 cms of new snow. At windward aspects the snow depth was less.
Snowpack
No signs of instability observed below treeline at SE, E, Ne aspects. Cornice testing below treeline was unreactive, the cornice broke but only unremarkable loose snow slough was produced. Hand pits did not revealed any weak layers under the new snow at the Fishbowl area.
Avalanche
Debris from two D1 avalanches were observed later in the day near Chattanooga, on a north aspect slope. The avalanche seem to have released naturally by mid slope (maybe around 10800-11000 feet).
