Weather

Breezy with light but gusty westerly winds and clearing skies. 2" on the board with .3 of H20 equivalent. The snow was dry, but laced with graupel which accounts for the high density.

Snowpack

Most of the new snow had melted off of the road and the cliffs along the grade. Areas without previous snow cover were back to bare ground. The old snow in the plot was still moist and punchy from yesterday's warm-up, foot pen 45. Despite the new snow, we have lost 2" on the master stake since last week. No signs of wind loading on the surrounding peaks despite the steady breeze. Little snow left for transport in the alpine after yesterday's sustained high winds.
