Weather

Mild, but windy. Light snowfall in the AM giving way to partly cloudy skies in the PM.

Snowpack

Lots of sluffing of the new snow with daytime warming, some long running. Sluffs ran on all aspects and elevations except for high elevation due north. All were limited to new snow running on hard crust below. The snowpack has not refrozen below treeline. It is punchy and isothermal, but not going anywhere either. New snow and cloudy skies tonight into Friday will also inhibit refreezing. Main avalanche problems continue to be sluffing of new snow and slabs forming on lee north and easterly terrain from strong sw winds near and above tl.
