Snowpack
observations Tuesday, December 18 Mount Emmons, S at 10,000 Went up Red Lady Glades around 7 AM. Snow was falling hard (S 1.5) with variable winds out of the NW - N - NE. Heeded considerable danger and decided to ski the glades from the high road, and avoid the switchbacky section before the final push to the top. Skied south pitches under 30 degrees. There was no cracking, collapsing or avalanche activity. Ski pen was about shin deep or more. We did see some windloaded features on the downhill ski.
