Weather

Weather: Changed from partly cloudy to snowing by 1115. Snowed intermittently with sun making brief appearances. Winds were variable in direction. Key point: wind transported snow into bowl, off of Scarp Ridge (NE to SW) and swirled snow on south ridge.

Snowpack

Snow: Within last 36 hours up to 2 inches (5cm) of new snow. New snow in the bowl was dense and bonded well with underlying layers.

Avalanche

Avalanche: Observed two recent (last 48 hours?) wet loose (WL) avalanches on Axtell, which started below cliff bands.
