Nice mild morning. Ridgeline winds gusty but warm.

Snowpack

Snowpack on east slopes below treeline ranged from 90cm to 140cm. Supportive 10cm mfc with nil boot pen (until you stand in the same place for 10 mins, then it is a sudden trapdoor to your waist. Felt like someone was playing a practical joke on me, until i tried to get out).Below mfc snowpack was moist and 0C to ground. I'm sure within a few hours the crust would not support weight. Gunbarrel still held uniform snow coverage .On the south side of Monarch Pass from Calamity down, banks were bare.
