Glen Cove, N through E aspects at treelike
Snowpack
From recent storms significant wind loading on N-E aspects. Large cornices have developed on E facing aspects and multiple avalanches have slid naturally. Approximately 65cm of new snow in the Glen Cove area which is mostly one consolidated slab. Column test did identify CT 3 SC down 10 cm which did not propagate on ECT. The old instability from the interface of the December and January snowpack with our more recent February snowpack is still persisting with CT 11 SP and propagates of ECT.
Avalanche
Outhouse couloir (NNE aspect) had a large slide probably R4 D2 that ran to ground in about half the path and possibly triggered a small slide noted in an adjacent couloir. Multiple crowns of small slides noted on N-E aspects in the Glen Cove cirque.
