Weather

Sunny. Hot in sun. Some occasional light breezes.

Snowpack

Snow surface moist on slopes in direct sun. Crusted quickly when sun left. Snow on shaded slopes remained dry. Probing showed slab 80-120 cm thick since 2/16. No cracking or collapsing. Skied short slopes > 35*.

Avalanche

Numerous old crowns visible on steep, shaded slopes above treeline, often at top of slope/ along base of rocks & cliffs. A few fresher crowns mid slope. Near & below treeline, a few thinner, more recent crowns near ridgelines. Lots of older crowns on steep slopes above/ in terrain traps.
