Snowpack
We are in the flats below a real short 20 degree slope and the slope collapsed. We saw a bunch of cracks..low energy with no propagation, the slope was too low angle. How have you been? I hope well. So we found some instability in some spots yesterday.. We did some sled skiing/touring off of Machine Gun Ridge. Wow that place sees some traffic. There had to be at least 6 cats operating, with tons of sled skiers and a crap load of snowmobile tours. Its been a long time since I've spent any time up there. its crazy. I want to open a hot dog stand up top of Machine Gun! We are in the flats below a real short 20 degree slope and the slope settled. We saw a bunch of cracks..low energy with no propagation, the slope was too low angle. The attached shot is of one of the 2 pockets that released sympathetically about 500-1000 feet from us (the other pocket that pulled out was a little more substantial but i did not get a shot of that).

Two remotely triggered slides from a collapse on a low angle slope. Both were on NNW aspects Near Treeline.
