Weather

Cool, sunny, and mostly calm. HN24 8" inches. Some blowing snow onto S and E aspects, but confined to ridgelines. Snow still on the tree branches lower down.

Snowpack

Still very thin with HS ranging from 10cm to 60cm on N and E facing terrain below treeline. There is now snow coverage down to the Yule Creek Rd, but obstacles are ever present. HN24 of around 8 inches of very low density (estimate 5%)was settled to 6 inches by mid day. This layer could settle to only 2 to 3 inches by tomorrow. Storm slabs were not, and are unlikely to be, an issue with this storm snow. There was some snow blowing onto S and E aspects along ridgeline. Probably some small soft slabs forming in these areas.

Avalanche

Just a few D1 loose dry sloughs of little consequence.
