Upper Hidden Valley, 11,700ft., East facing slope - Ridge top winds from the West 35-40mph, increasing throughout the day, obscured sky, Extreme Snow transport in the morning, mixed with S-2 snowfall in the afternoon. Height New snow 8-14in. Temp 8 degrees F. Lower down winds 15-25 W-SW.

Snowpack

8 - 14in new snow overnight and throughout the day. New snow formed stiff wind slabs and drifted over 2 ft. in places. North Side Upper Hidden Valley, RMNP 10,995ft East aspect 100 degree bearing 30 degree open slope 10:15am significant collapse across the slope, followed by several shooting cracks a little higher up (see photo). Cracks were all in the new snow. Ski cutting likely areas produced no results on similar aspect/slope/elevation. No other collapses the rest of the day.
