Some clouds over the Never Summer Range. Lenticulars and alto cumulus. Impressive wave cloud over North Park. Sunny. Warm. Peak level winds were moving snow.
Snowpack
This is my second visit to this area in the last two weeks. Last week the only old snow was above treeline on north through east aspects. High-elevation, shady areas. There were old ski tracks on South Diamond Peak. Today there was snow on the ground, in shady areas, to 9500'. The snow is shallow, but could be the beginning of the season snowpack. Southerly aspects are clear of snow at all elevations.
