Snowpack

Pit dug yesterday had revealed 97 cm snowpack with various fist hard layers. Weak layers present but no slab. Supportive of light skiers on fat skis.

Avalanche

Small sluff carried a snowboarder 50 meters down slope fanning out about 15 meters wide. Was never completely buried. As sluff slowed rider stood up and rode out of the path.
