Weather

Some evidence of wind drifting and shallow slab formation notable earlier this morning. These NNW winds have been on the increase since mid-morning and currently are moving a significant amount of snow from N to S especially near and above treeline. Below treeline gusty conditions are also moving snow, variable with with terrain features and most evident in open areas - as seen in pictures.

Snowpack

Small hand pit along the highway on easterly aspect near RMP demonstrated the slab formation discussed. Noted easy failure at a graupel interface on top of the old crusty surface. Soft slab was only about 6" deep here. Overall, still a very shallow pack here. No naturals observed.
