Cloudy skies, light snow throughout day, light westerly winds with stronger gusts and cool temperatures.

Snowpack

4 cm of new snow throughout day. It fell on a variety of crusts, rocks and old snow surfaces. Winds were moving snow around BTL but not for any steady duration. A test pit on a SE aspect BTL showed a buried surface facet layer in the upper snowpack (20 cm down) and another layer of facets in the bottom half of the snowpack (40-45 cm above the ground). The upper layer produced repeatable sudden pops in CTs and the lower layer produced repeatable sudden drops in CTs. New snow was a mix of rimed dendrites and graupel.
