On drive north of Silverton, encountered overcast skies with very light snowfall S-1 but very little accumulation (less than 1/2". This thick cloud cover seemed confined to Red Mtn Pass between Silverton and Ironton Park. Noted moderate winds moving snow at Pass level with evidence of previously drifted snow. Cloud cover obscured most peaks but got glimpse of strong winds and wind transport from south to north at peak level. Not enough vis for other observations.
