Snowpack

Obs from 4/23 to 4/24, all above treeline. About 3-4" of new snow fell evening of 4/22, with moderate snow transport from NW winds. Some cracking and small soft slabs on crossloaded features on W, SW, and S aspects, where it fell on melt-freeze crusts. These were ~6" deep. On a SE aspect, we found 18" with decent bonding (ECTN 15, CTM Q2 near the interface). Greenhouse solar and clearing late in the day on 4/23 caused the new snow on southerly aspects to become moist, and concerns of windslabs on these aspects were gone on 4/24 with a great overnight refreeze. Good views of lots of aspects with no signs of recent avalanche activity in the past few days, but we saw a number of old hardslab crowns from the last cycle on NE and N aspects near and above treeline.
