Snowpack

The wind we just got totally destroyed the skiing unfortunately. Skied up past storm lab this morning and saw 41" on the stake up top. Dug a pit on a NE facing slope below the radio towers and found a moderate sheer in the top 35cm of which was to be expected with the wind we got. After that it breaks at the ground. Total snow depth 115cm. Skied low angle area called way rights and then skinned along a bench that allows you to see all the ski area steeps from below and look into to some of the upper canyon stuff(northwoods, dead tree chutes, parkers area) and saw nothing. The skiing is terrible but overall the snowpack is in decent shape for Nov. Its been more like spring than our normal early season and that's helped build a much more dense pack than we usually see.
