Weather

S1 all morning, ramped up to S3 to S5 in the afternoon. Calm winds.

Snowpack

At noon, a pit on a west aspect at 12,000 ft had 6" (.7" SWE) of storm snow over a thin melt freeze crust. There were some small facets above the crust in places but the snow appeared to be bonding well. No significant test results on any deeper layers. Multiple slope cuts on steep terrain with no signs of instability. No signs of previous or current wind transport where we traveled. Storm snow was probably 10" by the end of the day
