Weather
Scattered clouds, WNW winds in the alpine kept the snow surface rather cool. We traveled on a refrozen MFC while ascending with ski penetration between 2 and 5cm. I was comfortable in a t-shirt hanging out in the parking lot.
Snowpack
MFC was supportable yet offered tricky ski conditions. Specific rollers offered carvable, etched snow, but turns were balancey. HS averages between 80 and 120cm. Probing revealed a variety of buried crusts, P slabs and F depth hoar.
