Relatively calm westerly winds. Broken sky cover with occasional patches of sunshine. Warm in the sunshine and down in the valley.
Snowpack
Snowpack ranged from large areas of exposed rock to 1m thick in a windloaded gully. Investigated slide from two days ago on N aspect at 12,000 ft. HS 140cm at crown. Failure layer was 10 cm weak faceted October snow at the ground. Several facet crust combinations above this layer. 80 CM of 1F windslab capping the old snow.
