Snowpack

Yesterday's new snow is dense but shallow over earlier surfaces. It appears yesterday's strong winds did more eroding than loading, even on many lee aspects. Above treeline windward aspects were heavily scoured, down to dirt in many areas. No signs of instability in our operational snowpack; the cold temps appeared to have locked down the snow fairly well. In the surrounding Ruby Mtns/ Peeler Basin area, one SS-N-R2D2 on a southeast aspect ATL that likely occurred yesterday or day before on Mt. Richmond.
