20F and mostly cloudy skies.No wind drifting snow on alpine slopes.

Snowpack

Coverage in Switchback chutes still struggling to bury rocks and stumps.Start zones hold 24 inch base, however snowcover still broken by terrain features. Snowcover on south slopes est at ~10".

Avalanche

Noted a widespread small wet loose sluff cycle from Redcliff through switchback chutes. Estimate ran between midday and 4pm on 12/20/2016 when temperatures at Dowd Junction reached high 40s.
