Approach was mainly smooth sailing as a crust halfway down supported steps. Occasionally would break through and find yourself waist deep in facets. Ice was plastic and brittle but still took tools okay and screws very well. Lots of snow transport on ridge tops today. Witnessed several dry loose avalanches on unsupported alpine slopes in the LL area
