Spent two days in the Snowspider area, accessing from Twin One FSR. Drove to 950 m. Saturday: we had rain soaked snow to 1650m. Large natural avalanches on steep south facing slopes. Temperature at 1550 m was well over 0C and raining. Sunday: temps cooled overnight, and snowed lightly in the morning. Poor visibility prevented us from going into the alpine. In north aspects above 1650 m and until 2000m the snow quality improved - 10-15 cm of soft powder on top of 5cm crust. Hand pits showed interface was not bonding well. Underneath the crust the snow was soft and sugary.
