Sa sz 1 avalanche witnessed by a guide from below. Snowboarder triggered a sz 1 storm slab pocket to the skiers left of an explosive triggered sz 2 avalanche from Avalanche Control in the morning (see photo). Avalanche occurred in extreme unsupported terrain. Snowboarder was carried down the slope and over a cliff. Witness did not observe anyone on the slope below. Avalanche site was cleared by patrol who confirmed no other involvements. The snowboarder was not buried, but Injured their shoulder and were treated by patrol.
