A learning day with large amounts of snowfall overnight and throughout the day. Saw naturals up to size 1. We hiked up from km15. At the summit we saw a large crown at least 40cm deep on a NW aspect that ran about 10m that had been skier triggered already by a group of three by the time we reached the ridge. Skiing was great but there were shooting cracks and soft slabs that were running fast and could gain some momentum if steep enough. Our group triggered a size 1 with 1 involved with no injuries or lost gear. The everything was releasing from the lower side of trees.
