Breakable by foot and skis crust made for sketchy skiing with soft powder underneath. Heavy snow and wind began Thursday early evening and continued until present. 40 to 50 cm of snow has fallen so far with significant wind distribution. Small skier caused slides and several distant thunder, sounding slides, but location unknown. New snow has buried Thursday’s crust and it is no longer felt underfoot while skiing.
