Witnessed a number of point release size 1 wet loose avalanches off Cheops steep terrain / cliffs. Photos are of STS couloir (am & pm), where slides were contained to the lower part of the fan below the cliffs. Then one small slide on frequent flyer covered about 10m of the skin track. We skied the beginnings of a breakable crust in 8812 bowl. Above 2000m temps were still cold. It was around -2 to -3 on bruins ridge. However when we reached the 8812 col just before 1pm, the sun was attempting to poke through and temps rose to be close to zero (still just below). No recent avalanche activity in the guts of 8812 or off Bruins ridge. However some size 1 point releases off 8812 face close to the balu pass ridge side were seen (no photos of this sorry).
