Deep Boulder

Surprisingly heavy wind effect at and above treeline, staying away from wind loaded features was the name of the game today. The riding in sheltered terrain was DEEP! Visibility was challenging all day but the lack of avalanche activity was a bit surprising. The only interesting thing we saw was a small natural avalanche on a steep treed feature at 1850 m with limited propagation. No other signs of instability.
