Early approach up Loop Brook and through the trees was pretty technical skinning with the freeze/thaw cycle in full effect. Elephant Trunk still goes, but definitely requires a boot pack on the way up. The moraines were all untracked and still held nice snow, but were definitely starting to warm up by 10am. We pushed straight onto the glacier and put in a track, stopping just short of the head, at the crossover to Greens glacier. Lowest probe strike on the way up was 260, but most were over 320. Decided to drop the Bonney side due to strong solar on all the Ross Peak slide paths. Saw at least 4-5 size 2’s come down from the extreme terrain overhead of the Greens exit, which is completely full of debris. Rode fall line down into the Bonney North exit. We dropped in at 12:30 and the snow was still blower up high, transitioning into warmer pow around 2100m and spring conditions down through the pillows, all super fun riding. No signs of instability on North faces today. Most solars above the creek have slid full path, some even reaching a couple feet away from the high access route on the bench above the Elephant Trunk.
