Surprise - based of Aberdeen glacier

Snowshoed to the base of Abderdeen glacier and checked out the approach to Surprise while we were there. Not enough snow of course to ski yet as was expected . Winds picked up significantly in the pm - by 1:30 we were getting strong gusts and had at times difficulty staying upright given how fierce the gusts were. Wind slabs were developing and we noticed a few pockets that were a bit reactive with shooting cracks. No obs aside from loose dries from steep Rocky terrain … by 3pm wind died but it was snowing quite a bit.
