No Pearl in the Oyster

Explored the logging roads up the Oyster River Mainline attempting to get to Pearl Lake. Took a few detours due to trees across the road, but we finally got some elevation gain. There was approx 5 cm of new snow bonding poorly to the old crust. The new snow started down low (around 200m) and was very moist due to the warm temperatures. Hopefully more snow will fall as the temperatures drop in the next few days.
