Weather

Sunny and warm for the most part. A few scattered clouds in the sky but didn't do much to stop the intense solar input.

Snowpack

Snow surfaces were crusty and hard in the morning, but gave way to the warming and solar input. The couple inches of recent snowfall turned moist but not wet by early afternoon on most slopes touched by the sun. Below the meager layer of new snow the older snow/slab is very supportable and ski pen even on north-facing slopes was minimal. Southerly aspects across the valley were starting to shed a little, but only in isolated areas. HS on north slopes was around 200cm

Avalanche

Only a few small loose wet avalanches were observed across the valley. These were isolated and failing on iconic steep, rocky, south, southeast, and west-facing slopes. Of note, they were mostly in the near treeline elevation band.
